Business plans that will be presented at this event are the result of work of a group of women who participated in the Gender Programme activities for economic empowerment of women in 2013 and 2014.  Women were trained and mentored to upgrade their entrepreneurship skills, to establish networks and to develop business plans. Areas of special interest for future entrepreneurs are agro-tourism, production of food and production of souvenirs. Partners in realization of this event are also Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije, as well as Business Start-up Center Bar.

Women Entrepreneurship Open Day will be an opportunity for business sector, international business associations, international organizations and wider Montenegrin public to have an insight in entrepreneurial potential of women in Montenegro. This will also be an opportunity to showcase the results of this programme in order to point out the necessity for development of new, gender sensitive mechanisms for development of women entrepreneurship, which can contribute to economic prosperity and balanced social development.
